Titans Age Graded League Tables

Graded Swimming was first introduced into the UK in 2005 as a means of comparing performances across events and age groups. These ASA Age Graded Tables have been scientifically calculated so that any possibility of bias towards one event or age group is removed.

The Titans use this ASA Graded system as a personal incentive structure for all swimmers. Each swimmer in the Club has been awarded points, based on their 25m Converted Personal Bests in relation to the AAA 25m Grade Qualifying Times – which are broadly similar to the qualifying times for the National Championships.

The events that qualify for points are as follows:

  • 50m Freestyle
  • 100m Freestyle
  • 200m Freestyle
  • 400m Freestyle
  • 800m Freestyle
  • 1500m Freestyle
  • 50m Breaststroke
  • 100m Breaststroke
  • 200m Breaststroke
  • 50m Butterfly
  • 100m Butterfly
  • 200m Butterfly
  • 50m Backstroke
  • 100m Backstroke
  • 200m Backstroke
  • 200m IM
  • 400m IM
  • 100m IM

In order to qualify for any points a swimmer’s PB must be within 120% of this benchmark.

The total points then allocated to each swimmer are based on their best 8 events (defined as the 8 in which they have secured the most points).
