Joining The Titans
We welcome applications from new potential members aged 8 upwards – with the will, enthusiasm and determination to think big and win big!
Interested new members should contact Jon Pardoe on 07903 641668 or via our contact form.
The First Step
We believe that it is important for all members of the Titans to understand fully the Club’s objectives and philosophy.
We also believe that to participate fully in the Club’s activities and swimming as a competitive sport, members need to understand how the Club operates and how British swimming is organised.
We have therefore produced as much information as possible for prospective and existing members and this can be found on our website or can be sent to you on application. You can find out about the Club’s strategy and goals in About the Titans and more information about our membership criteria in our Membership Policy (PDF) .
We also hope that you will find our Membership Handbook (link), which is intended to collate all the essential information that you will need to have as a member, helpful.
The Application Process
You should download and complete our Membership Application Form (PDF)
You may also need to complete the ASA Medication Form >>
All prospective members are invited for interview and swimming trials by the Head Coach. They are then invited to join the club if they meet the following criteria:
- They demonstrate through interview a commitment to competitive swimming. This will require prospective members to explain their own goals and determination to achieve them, as well as showing a commitment to contributing to the success of the club through gala participation.
- They meet the membership criteria for their age group as follows:
- For Junior Swim Members – swimmers aged between 8 – 10 years who are assessed by the Head Coach, as having significant potential to achieve swimming success.
- For Senior Swim Members – Swimmers aged 11+ years who can demonstrate that in the current rolling 12 month period they have achieved a Personal Best time in at least one national age group or youth championship qualifying event which is not more than 120% of the relevant championship qualifying time.
Following the interview and trial you will be notified whether or not you have been successful. You will then be invited to become an Associate Member which grants you a limited membership for 3 sessions only. Full membership will follow if you maintain a successful performance during this initial period.
