Liverpool Open Meet 28th & 29th June
Last weekend a small army of Titans ascended in Convoy to the new 50m Pool at Wavertree in Liverpool. By the end of the weekend 21 Personal Bests had been smashed, 7 medals had been won and a number of all time club records had been broken.
Isabel Mellings broke the Titan Club 9/u Girls records in both the 50m & 100m breaststroke. Both records had previously been held by her sister Annie – nothing like a good bit of sibling rivalry!!
Natalie Greene secured her first Titan Age Graded Points and established a new Club record in the 9/u Girls 100m Freestyle.
Both Annie Jones and Lauren Bond demonstrated how far they have both come as swimmers over the last 6 months – securing 4 PBS each. Lauren also broke the all time Club records in both the 100m Backstroke and 100m Freestyle.
Ottilie Fairhurst was encouraged by her two PBs and Abi Fawcett demonstrated that she has now recovered from injury – also setting two PBs and two new club records.
Hannah Greene set two new PBs and Alfie Pardoe broke five of his Personal Bests. Alfie also broke the 10/u boys club record for 50m back – beating Jamie Thomas’s previous record time by more than a second. Alfie ended up coming overall third in the 10/u boys Bagcat award.
